Gorham Free Library was chartered as a free association library by the State of New York in 1914. Our Library is housed in one of the oldest buildings in the hamlet of Gorham, the former Presbyterian Church, and was built in 1862. The library moved into the building in 1968. This building is also home to the Gorham Historical Society.

The library is often the central meeting place of this small hamlet. We are committed to serving as a lifelong center for learning, information gathering, and leisure reading for those of all ages within the community and surrounding area.  We are fortunate enough to serve patrons from many of the surrounding towns and villages.  We look forward to serving patrons for many years to come.

We are most fortunate to boast an exciting Children’s Area within our Library. With a very large selection of quality children’s literature; our Children’s Area makes you wish to be young again!  Please visit our Children’s page for pictures and more information.

Please let us know your needs and how we can best serve our community.
